Robin Eschrich is a plastics industry professional, maker and innovation enthusiast with a passion for discovering new applications for materials and technologies. Since starting his career in 2005, he has been working in the plastics extrusion industry. Since 2008, he has been working for a leading manufacturer of PVB films used in laminated safety glass. Over the years, he has specialized in automated measurement technology and continuously expanded his expertise through two part-time studies. Beyond his daily work, Robin has developed a strong interest in material science and innovation. He regularly uses rapid prototyping, 3D printing and laser engraving to improve measurement systems, validate concepts and develop new ideas. Some of these technology-driven applications and developments have even resulted in patented innovations. Alongside his professional career, Robin is deeply engaged in the 3D-printing community. His approach is simple: combine technologies, challenge conventional applications and turn ideas into reality. Known for his hands-on experiments with PVB and PVA, he explores applications such as embedding 3D prints into laminated glass or jewelry, creating dissolvable casting molds and integrating unconventional materials directly into printed objects. He shares many of these projects with the maker community on Instagram as @tueftlerbox.
